I became a salesman in the logistics industry 25 years ago and worked for various freight forwarders. In 2011 my wife, Kelley, and I decided to open the doors of Purpose Transportation with a desire to do things differently. Our vision was that we would run our business with honesty, integrity, and treat our customers and employees like family.

I grew up in Paris, Texas, no not France (funny side story). Kelley and I were dating while she was going to TWU in Denton.  A classmate asked her what she was doing for the holidays, and she said, “my boyfriend is taking me to Paris!”  The classmate said, “Oh how romantic!”  Kelley said “No, Paris Texas.”

I moved to Denton in 1988 to attend UNT in Denton.  After graduation I worked in several fields before I found logistics.  What I love about logistics are my customers and that I never get bored, because no two shipments are ever the same. The ability to find solutions, competitive pricing, and great customer service are what make me a passionate business owner. I really like a good challenge or special project!

In my free time I love to spend time with family and friends. We have 2 wonderful boys, Will and Nolen.   I enjoy traveling, trying new restaurants and coffee shops, volunteer work, hiking, biking and pretty much anything outdoors.  Kelley and I have a huge love for animals, and I am her official helper in fostering puppies for 2 different non-profits.
